3 Online Income Experiments I’m Starting With

If you’re tired of the fake gurus, the rented cars, the $2,000 “courses” filled with recycled advice — welcome. You’re not alone. I’ve been there too. And I’ve decided to build something different. I’m starting from the ground up. I am doing it in public. I am not pretending I already have it all figured out.

This blog post is not a success story. It’s a field report. I haven’t made a single euro online yet. But I’m done consuming and waiting. It’s time to test, to act, and to grow. And these are the first three experiments I’m launching to explore what really works in the world of online income.

Why I’m Doing This

I believe in learning by doing. Not just by watching videos or reading guides. That’s why I’m not starting with one big thing. I’m starting with three focused, simple experiments. Each one teaches a skill. Each one tests a different model. And none of them rely on hype or get-rich-quick shortcuts.

Experiment #1: Affiliate Marketing with Pinterest

Why? Because I want to learn how to attract organic traffic without spending money on ads.

  • Created a Pinterest profile focused on personal finance and mindset
  • Posting 4–5 SEO-optimized pins per week
  • Linking to blog posts or affiliate offers (Amazon, ClickBank, etc.)
  • Using clean landing pages or direct links

Goal: Earn my first affiliate commission by the end of the month.

What I’m tracking: Pin performance, click-through rates, and product interest.

📌 Lesson I expect to learn: I want to know how long it takes for Pinterest traffic to gain traction. I also seek to understand how to design content that gets attention.

Experiment #2: Fiverr Gig — Writing Custom Bio Descriptions

Why? Because I want to understand how to offer a micro-service and manage real clients.

  • Created a Fiverr gig offering short, impactful bios for LinkedIn, CVs, or websites
  • Set 3 pricing tiers (Basic / Standard / Premium)
  • Offered in both English and Italian
  • Promoted through Pinterest and Reddit (organically)

Goal: Land my first real client and get a review within 30 days.

What I’m tracking: Gig views, message conversion, and client profiles.

📌 Lesson I expect to learn: How to position a small offer, and build trust with someone I don’t know.

Experiment #3: Blogging for SEO (This Blog!)

Why? Because I want to create something long-lasting, that grows in value the more effort I put in.

  • Publishing 1–2 articles per week
  • Targeting beginner-friendly SEO keywords
  • Writing from experience and tracking real results
  • Optimizing every post for structure, clarity and impact

Goal: Rank one article on Google and collect my first 10 email subscribers through a free lead magnet.

What I’m tracking: Impressions, bounce rate, and article shares.

📌 Lesson I expect to learn: What makes a blog post both useful and findable.

Final Thoughts

This blog isn’t a funnel. It’s not a polished brand. It’s a lab. Some things will fail. Others will grow. The point is: I’m learning out loud. And maybe that helps someone else take their first step, too.

If you’ve been stuck in theory, or waiting for the “perfect plan”… this is your permission to act. Start small. Track what works. Adjust along the way.

You don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need to start.
